Brett Adam Rupp, 20, of Albemarle, was arrested Wednesday on breaking and entering and larceny charges, according to authorities.

An Albemarle man was arrested Wednesday and charged in the alleged theft of tractor parts last weekend, authorities say.

The Stanly County Sheriff’s Office said Brett Adam Rupp, 20, was charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, and obtaining property by false pretenses. He was jailed under a $5,000 bond.

Investigators said they were contacted early last weekend by a man who said someone had broken into a building and taken parts from a Minneapolis Moline tractor. Detectives identified Rupp as a suspect in the case, they said.

Rupp’s first scheduled court appearance is Aug. 11.
