Man detained after cutting off electronic monitor

Darrell Manis, 40, is wanted for cutting off his electronic monitor. He was last seen in the 2100 block of Eastway Drive, police said.

Police on Friday detained a man who cut off his court-ordered electronic monitor this week.

On June 25, Darrell Manis, 40, was ordered to wear an electronic monitor during his pretrial release on burglary and larceny charges.

On Tuesday, Manis cut off his electronic monitor and was last seen in the 2100 block of Eastway Drive, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said.
