Fan Fest adds to uptown congestion

Carolina Panthers fans headed uptown for Friday night’s Fan Fest are adding vehicle and pedestrian congestion in the area.

The free event starts at 5 p.m. at the newly renovated Bank of America Stadium with performances by the TopCats cheerleaders, PurrCussion and Black & Blue Crew.

The team will begin its first preseason practice at 6:30 p.m., followed by a fan Q&A session with Panthers personnel. Fan Fest will wrap with a performance by Voltage Brothers and fireworks at 9 p.m.
