Charlotte country rock band the Turnstiles celebrate the release of its album “Souvenir Summer” Saturday at Double Door Inn with Dirty Grass Soul.

The album boasts the impressive lyrics of vocalist Brad Thomas, whose “Casino Pier” and “Hillside Grave” are standouts, and songs that shift between Dwight Yoakam-style contemporary honky tonk and the alt-country of Son Volt with darker, punkier hues of the Replacements at times.

You can find out more about the Turnstiles at http://www.theturnstilesband.com/ or download the record via iTunes, Amazon or Bandcamp ( http://theturnstiles.bandcamp.com/releases).

The show starts at 9 p.m., Double Door (1218 Charlottetown Ave.), $7. www.doubledoorinn.com .
