Carolina Panthers rookie wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin (13) walks across the field during Tuesday’s practice. He is recovering from a bone bruise in his left knee.

SPARTANBURG Carolina Panthers coach Rivera said Thursday that rookie receiver Kelvin Benjamin is “progressing very nicely” and the team will see how he feels Friday after getting a workout Thursday.

Cornerback Josh Norman continues to nurse a hamstring strain. Rivera is hopeful Norman will return before the first exhibition on Aug. 8.

Safety Thomas DeCoud (lower leg), linebacker Craig Roh (ankle) and defensive end Wes Horton (groin) all missed practice Thursday.
