Friday is off to a soggy start, and forecasters say the rainy weather will likely continue through the weekend.
Theres a 60-70 percent chance that rain will continue throughout the morning, before tapering slightly to a 50 percent chance this afternoon and overnight, according to the National Weather Service in Greer, S.C.
Fridays high is expected to be 78 degrees, with a predicted overnight low of about 67, said meteorologist John Tomko.
In addition to causing trouble during the morning commute, Fridays rain has delayed the Carolina Panthers practice in Spartanburg. Practice was due to start at 9:25 a.m. but has been pushed back to 1 p.m. and is still subject to change, officials said.
The rest of the weekend will closely mirror Fridays conditions, with Saturdays high expected to be 79 degrees before warming slightly to 80 degrees Sunday, Tomko said.
Theres a 50 percent chance for rain both Saturday and Sunday, with overnight lows predicted in the high 60s.
