John Malkovich as Blackbeard in NBC’s “Crossbones” series finale.

Crossbones (8pm, NBC) - NBC canceled this John Malkovich pirate drama, so tonight’s final two episodes are the last we’ll see of ole Blackbeard (in this iteration, at least). In the first episode, crew loyalty is tested as Blackbeard sets sail and spins his endgame in motion. In the 9 o’clock finale, Blackbeard risks everything against William Jagger’s frenzied attack.

Hell on Wheels (9pm, AMC) - Season 4 opens with Cullen awaiting the birth of his baby while laboring under the Swede at Fort Smith. Meanwhile, Durant deals with the fallout from a railroad accident.

Supervet (9pm, Animal Planet) - Tonight, a dog needs spinal surgery and a cat’s pelvis is rebuilt.

Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda (9pm, Syfy) - A shark-octopus hybrid confronts a beast that is half pterodactyl and half barracuda. Don’t miss Conan O’Brien’s amazing cameo.
