York inmate faces contraband charge after hiding 17 cigarettes

YORK An inmate at the York County Detention Center had 17 cigarettes and a lighter in a baggie stashed in her crotch area, deputies say.

An officer found the contraband in a plastic Ziploc bag on Thursday, according to a York County Sheriff's Office report.

Casey Nicole Tyndall, 28, of York is charged with unlawful dispensing, compounding and sale of drugs, drug possession and prisoner with contraband, according to the sheriff's office. She remains at the Moss Justice Center on a $7,470 bond.

The cigarettes and lighter were seized and turned into evidence.
