    Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said these robbers were involved in a shootout late Monday at Jerry’s Mini Mart, 8812 Mount Holly Road.

Police are searching for three robbers who got into a shootout with an employee of a convenience store on Mount Holly Road in Charlotte Monday night.

Police reported no injuries in the robbery at Jerry’s Mini Mart, 8812 Mount Holly Road in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Freedom division.

About 9:20 p.m., police said, three assailants robbed the business at gunpoint and then fired a shot at one of the employees after leaving the store.

The employee returned fire, police said. The intruders ran away in an unknown direction.

All three suspects are described as black, in their early 20s and of average height and build. All three covered their faces. One suspect had long dreads, police said.
