According to the World Health Organization and the American Academy of Pediatrics, the benefits of breastfeeding for both mother and child are crucial to the health and development of children worldwide. Yet for some new mothers breastfeeding can pose challenges, with questions of how to breastfeed, overcoming obstacles and set backs, breastfeeding in public, and managing breastfeeding while working in an office.

That’s why support from experts, organizations, and other mothers is important. In Charlotte, we are fortunate to have many resources and support groups to help and encourage local mothers in managing and enjoying breastfeeding.
