Kennon Wright, 48, was arrested and charged after a car break-in outside the Circle K gas station at 9501 University City Boulevard in Charlotte on Wednesday.

Thanks to an alert witness, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police arrested three suspects soon after a car break-in outside the Circle K gas station at 9501 University City Blvd. on Wednesday.

Police said the driver of the car told them a window was smashed and money taken about 9:30 a.m.

A witness provided a description of the suspects’ vehicle to officers, who broadcast the information.

Other officers spotted the vehicle on East Mallard Creek Church Road and conducted a traffic stop. The witness identified the vehicle, police said.

Police arrested and charged Kennon Wright, 48, Eric Centwayne Henderson, 32, and John Anthony Rowe, 49, with breaking and entering a motor vehicle, felony conspiracy and misdemeanor larceny.

Anyone with more information concerning the case or the suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
