Charlotte-Mecklenburg police report 9 arrests for DWI at checkpoint

A police checkpoint in north Charlotte resulted in 9 motorists being arrested on DWI charges overnight.

The checkpoint was conducted from 11 p.m. Friday until 3 a.m. Saturday at 3100 N. Tryon Street.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police report these arrests and citations: DWI: 9; suspended license: 7; no operator’s license: 17; tag/inspection citations: 15; drug charges: 5; other: 6.
