UNC, Duke to play five games on Big Monday

North Carolina and Duke will play on ESPN’s “Big Monday” a combined five times during the upcoming basketball season, the ACC announced Monday.

UNC will play in three Big Monday games, all at the Smith Center and all of them – like every Big Monday game – televised nationally on ESPN. The Tar Heels’ Big Monday games are Jan. 5 against Notre Dame, Jan. 26 against Syracuse and Feb. 2 against Virginia.

Duke will play two Big Monday games. The Blue Devils will host Pittsburgh on Jan. 19 and will travel to Florida State on Feb. 9.

Neither N.C. State nor Wake Forest will play on Big Monday this season. This is the second consecutive season that ESPN is televising an ACC game on Monday nights.

All eight of the ACC’s Big Monday games will begin at 7 p.m.
