Monroe police probe home invasion

MONROE Police in Monroe are working to solve an apparent home invasion late Sunday night.

Police said they were called about 11:45 p.m. by residents of an apartment in the 200 block of Venus Street. Officers said the apartment’s occupants said three men with handguns and T-shirts over their faces forced their way into the residence.

One of the victims was taken into the kitchen and tied up. Meanwhile, investigators said, the suspects ransacked the apartment before leaving. The victims were not injured, authorities said.

Police did not get a full description of the suspects. Anyone with information in the case is asked to contact Crime Stoppers, 704-283-5600.
