Charlotte firefighters were on scene of a house fire in the 1900 block of Ranchwood Drive, Tuesday afternoon August 12, 2014.

One person apparently was injured Tuesday afternoon in a house fire in southwest Charlotte.

The fire was reported about 1:15 p.m. at a residence on Ranchwood Drive. That is off West Arrowood Road, between South Tryon Street and Interstate 77.

There was no immediate comment from fire officials, but a Medic ambulance was seen transporting one victim from the scene. That man appeared to be sitting up when he was carried away from the home.
