Jaws (9am, Spike) - Discovery doesn’t own sharks, you know. Not even during Shark Week. Today, Spike is showing the greatest shark movie ever, plus a few of its sequels. The incomparable “Jaws” – about an enormous great white shark who terrorizes a summer resort town – kicks off at 9 a.m., followed by “Jaws 2” at noon, “Jaws 3” at 2:35 and “Jaws: The Revenge” at 5. Then it starts all over again with another viewing of “Jaws” at 7 p.m. (”Jaws 2” again at 10:05, “Jaws 3” at 12:35 a.m.). Count on them being edited to death, but still. It’s summer and it’s “Jaws.”
Outlander (9pm, Starz) - Claire is introduced to the laird, but suspicions about her grow as she makes a friend of the mysterious Geillis Duncan and the clan discovers her skills at healing. This series has already been picked up for a second season.
Doctor Who: Ultimate Companion (9pm, BBC America) - Peter Davison explores the role of the Doctor’s companion and how the companions have changed over the years. At 10, “ The Real History of Science Fiction” will examine time travel in movies and TV shows. Note: the eighth series of “ Doctor Who” begins next Saturday.
Zodiac: Signs of the Apocalypse (9pm, Syfy) - In this movie, the unearthing of a 2000-year-old astrology board brings with it trouble for an unsuspecting museum curator and the rest of humanity.
Hell on Wheels (9pm, AMC) - Cullen goes back to work on the railroad and butts heads with his new boss. Meanwhile, Durant and Campbell clash over a valuable piece of real estate.
Sharksanity (10pm, Discovery) - If the events of the previous week have had you a little distracted and you’ve slacked off on your usual Shark Week viewing, “Sharksanity” will catch you up on some of the memorable moments.
