Get an up-close look at the upcoming Panthers season at The Charlotte Observer Tailgate at 7 p.m. on Sept. 4 at Whisky River in the Epicentre in uptown Charlotte. Former Panthers Wesley Walls, Mike Rucker and Travelle Wharton will join the Observer’s Panthers team of Scott Fowler, Tom Sorensen, Joe Person and Jonathan Jones in this preseason event.

The panel will break down the season, make predictions on the playoffs and take audience questions. The first 300 people will get a free football Koozie, and everybody will leave with the Observer’s special Panthers preseason section.

The event is free, courtesy of sponsor OrthoCarolina. Registration is recommended at observertailgate2014.eventbrite.com.
