FORT MILL Deputies found a beer pong set up and several open cans of booze Thursday while breaking up an underage drinking party in Fort Mill.
Officers with the York County Sheriff's Office were called to Millbank Court in Fort Mill after hearing a tip of a party involving minors. Twelve people were found at the home and deputies began to clear the scene.
Four of the party goers were under age 21 and admitted to consuming alcohol, according to an incident report. Those four were cited with minor in possession of beer and released to their parents.
Daniel Robert Ward, 19, who allegedly hosted the party, left before deputies arrived. He was walking his dog when approached by police and claimed he was never at the party, the report states.
Ward was taken back to his house and then arrested. He was charged with minor in possession of beer and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to the report. He remained at the York County jail Sunday on a $1,970 bond.
