Time Warner Cable has filed a rezoning request with the city that would allow it to build three more office buildings on its southwest Charlotte campus.
The rezoning petition, scheduled for a public hearing Oct. 20, centers on 85 acres on West Arrowood Road that house the cable giant’s Charlotte headquarters, including five buildings and a parking deck. Plans submitted with the city show the firm could build three more office buildings and two additional parking decks.
According to the site plan, the company has 660,881 square feet of building space, and is proposing a rezoning that would allow a total of nearly 1.2 million square feet.
But don’t look for any major expansion announcements anytime soon, a spokesman said.
“We have no expansion planned,” said Scott Pryzwansky. “We’re seeking a rezoning of the property at our Charlotte campus simply to preserve our options for potential future expansion.”
