Sept. 1-Oct. Oct. 11: First segment of N.C. dove season. The second segment is Nov. 27-Jan. 15.

Sept. 1-30: N.C. season for Canada geese.

Sept. 1-Oct. Oct. 11: First segment of S.C. dove season. The second segment is Nov. 15-Jan. 29, and the third segment Dec. 13-Jan. 15.

Sept. 6: Special youth dove hunt, U.S. Forest Service’s Herbert Field near Carlisle, S.C. Free and open during the afternoon to youths 17 and younger, who must be accompanied by a non-hunting adult 21 or over. No licenses or registration required. Directions and information: S.C.
