Defending champion Oweida heads City Amateur field

Defending champion Phillip Oweida is among 106 players in the field for this weekend’s Charlotte City Amateur. The tournament begins Friday at Cedarwood Country Club before moving to Carmel Country Club on Saturday and Quail Hollow Club for Sunday’s final round.

Six other former champions are in the field with Oweida: Robby Kirby, John Eades, Joe Jaspers, Ron Kirkpatrick, Brent Landry and Brett Boner.

Quail Hollow’s pin placements on Sunday will be the same as the Wells Fargo Championship’s final round in May. David Scott
