Transportation Center closed Sunday morning

Charlotte Area Transit System officials say the Charlotte Transportation Center on East Trade Street will be closed part of Sunday morning.

The center will be closed to the public from 8 to 11 a.m., while CATS employees conduct an emergency preparedness training program. Riders can catch buses on Fifth and Sixth streets, between North College and North Davidson streets. CATS staff will be on hand to help.

Service on the light rail line will not be interrupted, but riders will need to use the ramps near Time Warner Cable Arena to board and get off.
