Activists plan Charlotte rally in honor of Michael Brown, Jonathan Ferrell

Charlotte activists on Saturday will join demonstrators across the nation calling for justice in the shooting of Michael Brown, an 18-year-old who was shot and killed by a police officer in Ferguson, Mo., earlier this month.

Saturday morning’s rally will also bring attention to the case of Jonathan Ferrell, a Charlotte man who was shot and killed by a police officer last year while seeking help after a car wreck.

The “Don’t Shoot, Don’t Bomb Peace and Justice rally” takes place at 11 a.m. at Marshall Park, 800 E. Third St. in Charlotte. Cleve R. Wootson Jr.
