Anna Smith, 18, of High Point, has been reported missing, according to officials at Appalachian State University.

Appalachian State University police are asking the public’s help in finding a student who has been reported missing.

Anna Smith, 18, of High Point, was last seen around noon Tuesday at her residence hall room on the campus in Boone, according to Appalachian State University officials.

Smith is 5-foot-9 with a slender build, red hair and blue eyes. University officials said Smith has nose piercings and a black-and-white sunflower tattoo on her upper right chest near her collarbone.

Authorities said they are not sure what Smith was wearing when she was last seen.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to contact university police at 828-262-2150.
