Corie Allen Leazer, 19, was arrested Nov. 3 by Rowan County authorities on drug-related charges. He is an operator of Mooresville Raceway, a drag strip in Rowan County.

Rowan County deputies say the operators of Mooresville Raceway in western Rowan County were arrested last week in connection with an alleged drug operation.

Corie Allen Leazer and Jody Allen Leazer, along with Wendy Bateman Leazer, face a number of charges after a drug bust last Tuesday by the Rowan County Sheriff's Office. Deputies say the bust came after deputies received information that Corie and Jody Leazer were selling marijuana from their residence on Wilkinson Road, near the drag strip.

During the search, deputies say, they seized 1.6 pounds of marijuana, 50 hydrocodone tablets, 19 oxycodone tablets, 82 morphine tablets, four alprazolam tablets, and a pistol.

Corie Leazer, 19, has been charged with intent to sell marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested during the search.

Jody Leazer, 40, and Wendy Leazer, 37, each were charged with possession with intent to sell marijuana; several counts of possession with intent to sell a controlled substance; trafficking opium by possession; maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances; and possession of drug paraphernalia. They surrendered to deputies Friday.
