Roads closed in Concord, Stanly County

Construction will close a portion of Rocky River Springs Road in Stanly County today for nearly three weeks.

 

The N.C. Department of Transportation says Rocky River Springs Road near Plank Road will be closed until 3 p.m. Oct. 16, to modify an existing pipe joint. That road is near the town of Norwood.

 

Transportation officials say there will not be a posted detour, due to low traffic volume on that portion of the road.

Also, state crews will close Cold Springs Road in Concord this morning for nearly two weeks.

 

A section of the road is being closed for pipe replacement, with reopening scheduled no later than 3 p.m. Oct. 9.

 

Motorists who travel north on Cold Springs Road should use the following signed detour. Cold Springs Road, to U.S. 601, to N.C. 49, to Heglar Road, to Cold Springs Road.

 

And southbound motorists should use this route ... Cold Springs Road, to Heglar Road, to N.C. 49, to U.S. 601, to Cold Springs Road.
