While wandering through a local store recently, I was amazed at how many traditional outdoor items are now available in pink:

Troutman's aldermen have restored special use permits to the town's zoning ordinance, reversing a year-old decision to abandon that process for a more informal one.

The Mooresville boys' soccer team has been waiting for this season. With 12 seniors back from last year, including eight starters, the Blue Devils (19-2-2 in 2008) anticipated having one of their best teams in some time.

The “Jeff Whittington Presents” acoustic music series will kick off at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Davis Theatre, 65 Union St. S., Concord.

Wouldn't it be great if teenagers could get both a high school diploma and a college degree at the same time? And if the tuition for college were free?
