A Gastonia man faces charges after police say he grabbed a restaurant waitress on the rear end Wednesday evening.
The reported incident happened at the Hooters restaurant, in the 3700 block of East Franklin Boulevard in Gastonia. Barry Dean Parker, 39, of Gastonia, has been charged with sexual battery and carrying a concealed weapon, according to Gaston County authorities.
The Gaston Gazette is reporting, based on a court report, that the weapon was a bayonet.
Police say Parker was ordered to leave the Hooters on Wednesday. They say that on the way out, he grabbed a waitress, a woman from Matthews, on the buttocks.
Court records list Parker's address as the same as the Crisis Assistance Ministry.
No court date has been set for Parker.
