Facts About the Board
The nine-member board is elected in even-numbered years for a two-year term. There are three at-large members and six districts.
Meetings are at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center, 600 E. Fourth St.
The county board meets three Tuesdays a month. The first and third Tuesdays are regular business meetings. The second Tuesday is a public policy workshop.
The public is allowed to speak during business meetings.
