New face at CCVB: Selah Havard recently was hired as the Cabarrus County Convention and Visitors Bureau’s sales manager. The former director of sales at the Natchez (Miss.) Convention and Visitors Bureau, she is a graduate of Mississippi State University with nearly five years of experience in the travel and tourism industry. She will work to promote Cabarrus County as a destination for corporate and association events.

Master Gardeners host first Iredell Garden Fair

During the April 20, 2013, free event, volunteers in the teaching garden will answer questions about the ornamental plants and vegetables. Visitors can browse among raised beds, herbs, fruit trees and experimental test sites.
