Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are asking for the public's help to find a woman they say is a serial shoplifter from high-end stores.
Jessica Eileen Wedel is wanted on several warrants accusing her of felony larceny. Police say Wedel, 32, frequents high-end stores in area malls.
There, they say, she steals expensive handbags, leather coats and jackets and other luxury items.
Wedel has a long arrest record and has convictions for possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor larceny. Court records show she is currently on probation for possession of stolen goods, which she was convicted of in June.
Investigators say Wedel drives a gold or gray Ford Taurus with North Carolina plate YWN8802.
Anyone with information about Wedel is asked to call Detective Steve Iyevbele at 704-619-2375 or Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
