Teens, police to discuss violence

Girl Talk Foundation expects nearly 200 girls and boys at its next Teen Summit.
The event will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Bette Rae Thomas Recreation Center, 2921 Tuckaseegee Road.
The summit is the third in a series focused on youth violence. Panelists include Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Detective Gary McFadden and members of the department's domestic violence unit. Details: 704-335-5885.
