Da Chen, author of a bestselling memoir about growing up in mainland China during the cultural revolution, will speak at Belmont Abbey College on Sept. 15.
Chen's book, “Colors of the Mountain,” was assigned as summer reading to all incoming first-year Abbey.
The topic of Chen's talk is “From China to Wall Street to Random House.” The program starts at 7:30 p.m.
At 2 p.m., Chen will be at the college's coffee shop, Holy Grounds, for a book reading and signing.
Both events are open to the public and are free.
