Students hospitalized after taking pills

OLIN, N.C. Two North Iredell Middle School students were taken to a hospital today after taking pills brought to school by other students.

A school spokesperson said three students brought the pills to school and 10 students took the pills.

Dawn Creason with Iredell-Statesville Schools said two of the students became sick. One was taken to Iredell Memorial by ambulance. A parent took the other student to a hospital.

Creason did not have information on what type of pill the students consumed.

The Iredell County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
