It's old hat for the Green Bay Packers but something very different for the Carolina Panthers ... playing a game in the snow.
Forecasters say a storm system could spread a steady, light snow into Green Bay on Sunday. The Packers entertain the Panthers in a 1 p.m. game that day. The Panthers have not played a game in snow in recent years.
Roy Eckberg, of the National Weather Service office in Green Bay, Wis., said the storm system could spread snow into the Green Bay area late Saturday night, continuing into Sunday evening.
"The current thinking is that 1 to 3 inches of snow will fall across northeast Wisconsin ... with locally higher amounts," Eckberg said.
