Two employees were injured overnight in an armed robbery at a restaurant in Hickory, police say.

The robbery took place about 4 a.m. at the Coffee House, at U.S. 70 and U.S. 321. Two men, wearing bandanas, entered the restaurant and demanded money from the waitress/cashier.

During the robbery, the suspects struck both the waitress and a cook. Two customers in the restaurant at the time were not injured.

The suspects ran off after getting an undisclosed amount of money.
