ESPN's Tirico to speak Friday

ESPN radio and TV host Mike Tirico will be guest speaker Friday at the next meeting of the Hood Hargett Breakfast Club, one of the area's top business networking groups.

The breakfast club program will be at 7:30 a.m. at Carmel Country Club.

In addition to Tirico's appearance, the club session will include a pep rally for the Carolina Panthers in advance of Saturday night's NFL playoff game against the Arizona Cardinals. Panthers' mascot Sir Purr and the TopCat cheerleaders will visit the meeting.

"We are very excited to begin 2009 with Mike Tirico," said Jenn Snyder, executive director of the Hood Hargett Breakfast Club. "Our networking events are widely attended. We expect the same for this event, both because of the high-profile speaker and the increased importance of networking for our members in the existing economy."
