An employee of a sub shop in southeast Charlotte is recovering from a gunshot wound suffered Tuesday afternoon during a robbery.
The suspect got away.
It happened about 4:30 p.m. at the Quizno's shop in the Galleria shopping center area, on Sardis Road North between Independence Boulevard and Monroe Road.
Police say a man who was attempting to rob the store shot the worker in the leg. The victim was taken to Presbyterian Hospital for treatment, and the suspect ran off.
Police did not get a good description of the suspect, and there is no word if the robber got any money.
