A Vale man has been charged with sexually assaulting two young sisters between 1998 and 2002, authorities said Tuesday.
According to Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, Ray Max Arrowood, 63, was charged with two felony counts of first-degree rape of a child.
Authorities said the incidents occurred at a Seagletown Road residence in western Lincoln County. One sister is older than the other, but authorities said the assaults happened when the girls were between 8 and 13 years old.
The juveniles, who are related to the suspect, reported the incidents to the Child Advocacy Center in February, according to the Sheriff's Office. Detective Sally Dellinger said more charges are expected.
Arrowood was being held under a $200,000 secured bond.
