Authorities in South Carolina have released the identity of a man killed in a one-vehicle wreck early Monday morning in Lancaster County.
They say Danny Bennett, 23, of Kershaw, S.C., was killed when the truck he was riding in overturned on U.S. 521, between Kershaw and Heath Springs. Six other people in the truck were injured.
The S.C. Highway Patrol said Bennett was riding in the back bed of the truck when it went off the road and flipped over. Troopers say the driver of the truck apparently fell asleep, awakened when she went off the right side of the road, then over-corrected and went off the left side.
