An overturned tractor-trailer has closed the main route from Waxhaw to Fort Mill, S.C.
The truck wreck happened on S.C. 75 near Hector Road. That is a short distance south of the state line, between Waxhaw and U.S. 521. The Highway Patrols have closed the route on either side of the state line, and a detour has been set up.
The wreck means motorists who are headed from southern Union County to Lancaster County or the Fort Mill area should allow extra time this morning -- and, preferably, find an alternate route. Lancaster County officials say it could be several hours before the wreckage is cleared and the road reopened.
