Stanley -- A Lincoln County teen has been charged in connection with a chase early Thursday that kept police busy in three counties.
John Robert Miller, 17, of Iron Station was charged by police in the Gaston County town of Stanley with felony fleeing to elude arrest, reckless driving, speeding and driving with a revoked license.
Around 3 a.m., a police officer in Stanley tried to stop a Ford F250 truck that matched the description of a vehicle wanted in connection with a break-in at a farm equipment store. The driver raced off, starting a pursuit through Gaston, Lincoln and Mecklenburg counties.
Police used stop sticks to blow out the tires on the truck. Miller and another person were arrested, but Stanley police say the other person was released.
