Union County Sheriff's deputies are looking for a man wanted in connection with the fatal stabbing of a neighbor Tuesday night.
The sheriff's office says Lewis Coffey, 56, died as the result of stab wounds. Authorities are looking for Marlin Edward Hall, 36, who they say is a suspect in the case.
About 7 p.m. Tuesday, deputies were called to Hall's house, on Hood Street. That is off Western Union School Road, about 2 1/2 miles northeast of Waxhaw.
At Hall's house, deputies said they discovered Coffey, who lived on the same street, suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to Union Memorial Hospital but died after arriving.
Anyone with information about Hall's whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff's office, 704-283-5600.
