Hard work by detectives and tips from the public led local, county and state officials Friday to a $101,000 vehicle that had been stolen last week, the Catawba County Sheriff's Office says.
One man has been arrested so far.
The sheriff's office said the Conover Police, the sheriff's office, and the State Bureau of Investigation teamed to find a 2007 Mercedes S65 that had been reported stolen in a break-in.
A tip helped lead detectives to the vehicle, which was on 2nd Street S.W. in Conover.
Christian Eugene Goss, 17, of Catawba, was arrested and charged with larceny of a motor vehicle and breaking and entering. The sheriff's office says more arrests are expected.
