1 arrested in Lancaster robbery

A 19-year-old man was arrested late Wednesday in connection with a robbery at a clothing store in Lancaster, S.C.

Police say Demarco Blair, of Lancaster, was charged with armed robbery, and officers say they are looking for other suspects in the case.

An employee at Hot Deals, a clothing store in the 1200 block of Highway 9 Bypass, told police a man entered the store about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and asked for a certain size of jeans. When the employee went to the back of the store to retrieve the pants, he said he was hit in the back of the head by a gun carried by the suspect. The employee said he then noticed two other suspects in the store.

The victim said he was robbed, and the suspects also took money from the cash register. The suspects were all wearing bandanas over their faces.

A witness who saw the three suspects run from the store and get into a Ford Explorer identified one of the men to police, and Blair was arrested a few hours later.
