A standoff involving Gastonia police ended this morning with no injuries.

It happened at a residence on Jackson Street near Jones Street, in southwest Gastonia. That is about a block west of South York Road (U.S. 321).

The police SWAT unit was called in after a man who was being served commitment papers apparently barricaded himself inside a house. There were no reports of shots being fired and no injuries. Police say the situation ended about 8:45 a.m. without incident.
