A Lincolnton man was killed Sunday after his motorcycle was struck by a car traveling north on Huss Street. The car tried to turn left about 2:57 p.m., when it hit the right front of the motorcycle.
Christopher Michael Rogers, 32, died immediately, Lincolnton Police Lt. Dwight Shehan said Sunday night. Julio Armando Sandi of Lincolnton was turning off Huss onto Arney Street when he collided with the motorcycle.
"He said he didn’t see the motorcycle," Shehan said. "Neither of the two vehicles were speeding, so that is not an issue."
The motorcycle stopped immediately after it was hit, he said. The wreck is still under investigation by Sgt. Willie Vaughn, Shehan said, and charges are pending.
