Three men held up a shopper at a new Wal-Mart on North Tryon Street on Sunday and took everything out of his shopping cart and then his white GMC Yukon, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said.

The store opened two weeks ago, and the robbery/carjacking was the first major incident there. One of the robbers used a handgun to take the SUV, police said. The shopper was unharmed. Police ask that anyone with information on this crime call at 704-334-1600.
