Mecklenburg County commissioner Vilma Leake is holding a community meeting next week for residents living in the Steele Creek area.
The meeting is planned for 6 p.m. Monday in the media center of Southwest Middle School, 13624 Steele Creek Rd. in Charlotte. It is open to the public.
The county said the event will include speakers from the departments of park and recreation, social services and planning.
Leake was elected last November to serve residents in District 2. The district spans parts of west and southwestern Mecklenburg, including the Lincoln Heights and Steele Creek neighborhoods. -- April Bethea
