Utility workers had overnight work to do at a pair of sites in Charlotte, due to water main breaks.
One break was on Boyce Road, in southeast Charlotte near Sardis Road. That is a short distance from Charlotte Preparatory School, which begins classes today.
The good news is that workers fixed the line before daybreak. As of early this morning, crews were finishing the repaving portion of the work.
The other water line break was on Tranquil Avenue, which connects Selwyn Road and Hillside Avenue in south Charlotte.
